Contacts

Tract syncs contacts from your connected Gmail or Outlook account so the people you already email are available when composing without any manual setup. When you start typing a name or email address in the To field, Tract pulls from your existing contacts automatically — the same people you’d find in your Google or Microsoft address book.

Beyond your synced address book, Tract lets you save specific contacts directly to a deal record — the buyer, seller, inspector, lender, attorney, or any other party involved in a transaction. Deal contacts are accessible from the People tab on the deal page and via the slash command while composing, so their phone numbers and email addresses are always one keystroke away without leaving the email.

  1. Open the deal you want to add a contact to
  2. Click the People tab
  3. Add Client or Add Vendor depending on their role
  4. Enter their name, email address, phone number, and role
  5. Save

The contact is now saved to that deal and accessible via the slash command when composing any email linked to that deal.

At any point in email you can hover over an email address to add that contact to the deal. Hover the email address to expose email options -> select add contact to deal. This an easy and quick way to build your deal contacts for fast access later.

  1. Open the deal and click the People tab
  2. Hover the contact and click the delete icon

Removing a contact from a deal removes them from that deal’s record only — they remain in your synced address book and available when composing email.
